Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Committee Member
Volunteer Position – High Priority
Overview
The Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Committee is integral to IVCanDO’s mission of supporting small businesses in Southern Oregon. Committee Members are responsible for reviewing loan applications and providing recommendations to ensure that funding decisions align with community needs and economic development goals.
While the committee operates independently, one IVCanDO Board Member may serve as a liaison to relay updates and insights between the committee and the board. However, serving on the board is not a requirement for committee membership.
Responsibilities
- Application Review: Evaluate loan applications and financial documents to assess viability and alignment with program objectives.
- Meetings: Participate in 6–10 meetings annually, either virtually or in person, to discuss and recommend loan approvals.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding applicant information and committee deliberations.
- Community Insight: Provide perspectives that reflect the diverse needs and opportunities within Southern Oregon.
Qualifications
- Experience in business, finance, lending, or economic development is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A commitment to supporting local entrepreneurship and economic resilience.
- Ability to analyze financial information and make informed recommendations.
- Willingness to collaborate with a diverse group of community members and stakeholders.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 1–2 hours per meeting, with 6–10 meetings per year.
- Additional time will be required for reviewing applications prior to meetings
