Page Creek Community Forest Project
Since 2014 this community driven collaboration with the Forest Service has led to a series of stewardship projects for forest health and resiliency to wild fire. The project area is centered around Page Creek in the community of Takilma and uses a fire ecology basis for landscape scale treatments on adjacent federal and private properties. Funding has come from the Hope Mountain. Master Stewardship Agreement, a USFS Community Assistance grant of $181,000, and a community designed small diameter timber sale that will combine to treat over 500 acres by end of 2018.
