IVCanDO Purchases New Building with Support from an Anonymous Fund of Oregon Community Foundation
Anonymous donor provides $200,000 toward building purchase; an additional $300,000 pledged to strengthen long-term community capacity.
Cave Junction, Oregon – December 15, 2025 – The Illinois Valley Community Development Organization (IVCanDO) is pleased to announce the purchase of a new building at 287 Hamilton Avenue in Cave Junction, marking a significant step in expanding long-term community capacity and infrastructure in the Illinois Valley.
This purchase was supported in part by previous contributions totaling $200,000 from An Anonymous Fund of Oregon Community Foundation, with an additional $300,000 pledged to support IVCanDO’s programs and long-term growth. These commitments reflect the donor’s multi-year investment in strengthening rural southwest Oregon.
“This move represents both growth and deepened commitment,” said Lindsey Jones, Executive Director. “We’re stepping into this next chapter with three G’s — Gratitude, Gumption, and Grit. Gratitude for the generosity that made this opportunity possible, gumption to take bold steps toward our future, and grit to do the hard work that follows.”
IVCanDO will transition into the new building in early February 2026, with all programs and services remaining active throughout the move.
Cans for Kids Donation Station Will Also Move
As part of the transition, the IVCanDonate – Cans for Kids Donation Station will be relocated to the Hamilton Avenue property. Saturday collection days will continue without interruption. Participating groups will receive updated maps, directions, and instructions once logistics are finalized.
Exploring Future Use of Shared Space
The new building includes a front lobby and community-facing area that may be suitable for shared use. IVCanDO is currently exploring opportunities for partnerships with local organizations that could benefit from co-located space and expanded visibility. More details will be shared as options are evaluated.
What Comes NextIVCanDO will share additional updates, photos, FAQs, and transition timelines in January.
