IVCanDO is pleased to announce the purchase of a new building at 287 Hamilton Avenue in Cave Junction, marking an important step in expanding our long-term capacity to deliver community-driven programming across the Illinois Valley.
The acquisition of IVCanDO’s new building in Cave Junction was supported in part by $200,000 in contributions from An Anonymous Fund of Oregon Community Foundation, with an additional $300,000 pledged toward IVCanDO’s ongoing work and future growth.
“This move represents both growth and deepened commitment,” said Executive Director Lindsey Jones. “We’re stepping into this next chapter with Gratitude, Gumption, and Grit.”
Move Timeline
IVCanDO will transition into the new building in early February. All programs and services will remain fully active throughout the move, ensuring continuity for the community we serve.
Cans for Kids Donation Station
The Cans for Kids Donation Station will also relocate to the Hamilton Avenue property as part of the transition.
- Saturday collections will continue without interruption.
- Participating organizations will receive updated maps and directions.
- New signage and access information will be posted once logistics are finalized.
Future Shared Space Opportunities
The new location includes a front lobby and community-facing area that may be suitable for future shared use. IVCanDO is exploring opportunities for partnerships with local organizations that could benefit from co-located space and increased visibility.
Updates, photos, and frequently asked questions will be added in January as we prepare for the move into IVCanDO’s new building in Cave Junction.
