Join IVCanDO and over 40 local, regional, and state organizations for the Illinois Valley Community Connections Expo.

October 12 from 11am – 2pm

The Illinois Valley Community Connections Expo is an exciting family-friendly event featuring local nonprofits and organizations in our region. Attendees will find helpful local resources and connect with ways to get involved in the community. There is something here for everyone!

Plus, the first 100 attendee’s will receive FREE lunch from Rogue Food Unites. Be sure to check in at the welcome table to grab your meal ticket.

Energy Information with Oregon Department of Energy, Energy Trust of Oregon, IVCanDO, and Pacific Power

Learn about cash incentives available to the Illinois Valley to make your home more energy efficient, reduce your energy bills, learn about residential solar options, and ask questions about energy-related topics!

Brain Health for Older Adults

Illinois Valley Wellness Resources Programs Director Laura Mancuso will give an interactive presentation about how to keep your brain and mental status healthy as you age. Mancuso, a community health educator, will give wellness tips on how to stay sharp and live your best life possible. She will also go over signs of dementia versus normal memory loss. Join this meaningful presentation and walk away with handouts and a new perspective.

Preparing for the Journey: Dispositions and Navigating Rural End-of-Life Care

Angela Franklin with Journey Home will host a workshop on the various final dispositions (cremation, aquamation, natural reduction, natural burial and more), while looking at how to address the rural considerations and challenges for end of life planning and care.

Deepen your connection to our beautiful natural surroundings and learn ways to improve your well being in this approachable and adaptable workshop hosted by Tara from the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy.

Noloxone (Narcan) Administration Training

Max’s Mission will be hosting a Noloxone (Narcan) administration training to teach how to reverse opioid overdose. Vital information for those wanting to prevent opioid overdose deaths in our community as well as those who have loved ones prescribed opioids for pain management.
