A Year of Community-Driven Impact

Throughout 2025, IVCanDO worked alongside public agencies, nonprofit organizations, local leaders, and residents to advance initiatives that support long-term community well-being.

Key areas of impact include:

  • Energy & Infrastructure – Improving home safety, comfort, and energy efficiency while supporting local contractors
  • Business & Economic Development – Providing access to capital and resources for small businesses, including post-fire recovery efforts through the PIER program
  • Cans for Kids – Turning community recycling into direct financial support for youth-focused organizations
  • Parks & Recreation – Strengthening shared spaces that connect and serve the community
  • Community Capacity Building – Supporting local organizations through technical assistance, fiscal sponsorship, and operational guidance
  • Community-Led Strategic Planning – Grounding long-term development in local voices and priorities

Each of these efforts reflects a shared commitment to strengthening People, Place, and Prosperity across the region.

Behind the stories are the numbers that help tell the scale of the work:

  • $2.3 million in total revenue stewarded in support of community initiatives

These numbers represent not just activity, but investment—into homes, businesses, organizations, and the broader community.

Built on Partnership

The theme of this year’s report, “The Power of Partnerships,” reflects a simple truth: none of this work happens alone.

IVCanDO’s ability to support meaningful projects across the Illinois Valley is made possible through collaboration—with funders, partner organizations, local governments, contractors, volunteers, and community members.

These partnerships bring resources into the region, strengthen local leadership, and ensure that development efforts are grounded in real community needs.

Looking Ahead

As IVCanDO continues to grow, the focus remains the same: building strong relationships, supporting community-led solutions, and creating opportunities that contribute to long-term stability and resilience.

We’re grateful to everyone who contributed to the work reflected in this report and look forward to what we will continue to build together.
