IVCanDO is partnering with Energy Trust of Oregon to host a Farm Energy & Irrigation Efficiency Workshop on March 10, 12 noon to 2 PM, at Wild River Brewing & Pizza Co’s community room.
This workshop, developed in partnership with Energy Trust of Oregon, is designed for farmers and agricultural producers interested in improving efficiency, reducing operating costs, and learning about available technical and financial resources.
Workshop Topics Include:
- Reducing pumping costs
- Fixing leaks and improving water application efficiency
- Irrigation and system upgrades, including:
- Pivot systems
- Pod systems
- MESA, LESA, and LEPA configurations
- Mobile drip irrigation
- Pump and VFD upgrades
Participants will also learn about on-farm energy assessments and cash incentives and rebates that may be available for irrigation systems, greenhouses, and solar plus battery storage projects.
