Donate Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

If you are age 70-1/2 or older, you may be able to donate up to $100,000 per tax year directly from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to charitable organizations. QCDs, or sometimes referred to as IRA charitable rollovers or IRA charitable gifts, are often excluded from taxable income and qualify towards required minimum distribution (RMD) requirements.
