Beyond Kerby Mainline – Into the Home Stretch

IVCanDO is proud to sponsor the Clean Sweep 2026 Community Trash Cleanup, an ongoing volunteer effort dedicated to restoring and protecting the natural beauty of the Illinois Valley.

The Clean Sweep continues the momentum of past cleanup efforts, bringing neighbors together to remove illegally dumped debris, protect forest health, and strengthen community stewardship. What began as a focused effort along Kerby Mainline has grown into a sustained, valley-wide initiative — and this year, we’re heading into the home stretch.

Why It Matters

Illegal dumping and roadside debris impact wildlife, water quality, public safety, and the overall health of our forests and watersheds. Through consistent, organized cleanups, volunteers are making visible, measurable progress.

The “before and after” transformations tell the story best — areas once cluttered with debris are being restored to open, usable forestland that benefits everyone.

This effort is part of an Illinois Valley Rural Reciprosperity Project, reinforcing the idea that when we invest in our shared environment, we strengthen our entire community.
