Beyond Boom & Bust
Beyond Boom & Bust is a multi-year initiative cultivating rural economic and social resilience and vitality through performance in southwestern Oregon.
The initiative launched with a documentary dance theatre piece called The (w)HOLE in 2019, which was based on stories about the changing economy in the Illinois Valley since cannabis legalization. Our second project, Shelter-in-Plays, took place at the beginning of the pandemic and developed a dozen original works by local writers and performed by household pods in quarantine. OUT Dance Project Virtual Tour is our current production, connecting rural queers from across Oregon through story and dance.
Valley Girls Quilting Show
The Valley Girls Quilt Show promotes the traditions of quilting, displays the talents of local quilters, and financially supports the youth of the Illinois Valley with an annual quilt show. IVCDO provides administrative support as a fiscal sponsor of this project.
Valley Girls Quilt Show will be held October 20 and 21, 2023 at the IV Senior Center.
